Message: For anyone here who is thinking of disposing their or loved one's cremated remains somewhere forbidden, don't do it. Here is a good reason. I know someone who is employed at Disneyland. He says that a few times people will sneak in ashes of someone and sprinkle it around their favorite ride. After that, they get very bold and tell a cast member (employee) what they did. The cast member retalitates that if it is a water flume ride, the water goes through a filtering system and occasionally it is cleaned. If it is not a water based ride, then the ride of often dusted and vacuumed. The results? The cremated remains goes into the trash, as in garbage, rubbish, resuse. Worse, the responsible party would be idiots to try to sue.

I find this quite normal and the thought doesn't frighten me.

Otherwise I'll be cremated (hopefully wearing my birthday suite ).
It will be a direct cremation, then I'll be scattered.
Funeral services, views, priests and similars are not welcome ...

Message: Today, my Sister and I finally said goodbye to our Mum. The crematorium experience left me wondering what would happen next after the delicate lace curtains closed separating us once and for all. I knew that the cremation process wouldn't happen until much later, well after we had left the grounds, and that unsettled me; like there was some secretive or unspoken next step that I wanted to know about and didn't know whom to ask. Message: definite cremation for me. i find the idea of going out on a pyre quite fascinating. I'm not sure though when it came to a loved one that I could actually light the fire and then watch as they are slowly surrounded by flames and burn. I guess though it's no different to our loved ones inside that wooden box and knowing when they go behind that curtain they are going into a furnace and will be burned down to ashes. Cremation is obviously quicker than a pyre though.

Message: I'm Atheist and don't like the ideia of being cremated. I prefer burial. Despite of being atheist I read about religion, and I don't understand why so many Christians want to be cremated. Jewish tradition teaches about the LUZ bone, a tiny bone (which doesn't disappear) that "God" will use to resurrect dead people in the future. Some rabbis say that only fire can destroy that bone. Emperor Titus himself wanted to be cremated to escape god's judgement in the end of days. Cremation = no resurrection. Some people say: that's jewish stuff!! Remember this: they wrote the Bible, Jesus above all... was jewish, All the prophets from the Bible were buried.

Message: I like how insightful this site is. My Grandfather, Grandmother, and Aunt were cremated. I heard that the bodies sit up and "scream" so I looked it up for peace of mind and stumbled on this site. It helped take the imaged I had out of my head. I was a bit dumb though. I didn't heed the warnings though and continued even though I just lost my Aunt a week ago. It is explicit, but not too disturbing. Like
I said it actually gave me peace of mind. Thank you for the informative site.

In December 2000, my father was cremated (the desire of) the only crematorium in my country, Romania, to The Human Crematorium "The Ashes" - built in 1928. So my father died two times: first by the disease, and the second time in a furnace fire. I have not had the strength to finish this work, in the sense of leading to cast his urne into the Black Sea, which my father loved all his life and wanted to rest in it. I put his ashes in the urn coffin of my mother, when she left this world. But then, fascinates me very much this means to end human life on this Earth ...

Message: I had not heard of resomation until I found it on this site. It's an interesting option. However, I prefer the shallow grave method, NO embalming. I think this most natural way allows the spirit of the deceased an easy way to pass over. I remember being in spiritual communication with a relative who was slowly dying. He was happy that he could travel beyond the confines of his body that was shutting down. When he died his wife decided to have him embalmed and he was very angry about that. It was a final insult to his already diseased ravaged body. He stopped communicating with me for several months until his spirit had a chance to adapt to his new surroundings. Although it was easier to mentally communicate to him while he was still alive, he still talks to me & my daughter and he is excited about learning new & different spiritual ways to communicate and help his loved ones.

Message: this is *the* weirdest site i have ever encountered. it seems to mix cremation, death, and some sort of foot fetish together in one big weird, sexy death site. although the cremation process that is described is very informative, and i appreciated that very much, the overall feel of this site is sexual in nature and that was a little disturbing. but nonetheless, very informative. i feel conflicted.

Remember being curious when i went to a funeral when i was 8 or 9 and asking what happens afterwards and being told that the coffin and the body get burned, i'd been to a cemetery before and seen a burial but this time the coffin just went behind the curtain.
I just prefer cremation although does just seem a weird thought of being burned and how little there is left.

I thought it was the coolest thing that Robinson ordered Friday to burn the leftovers of his comrades who were eaten in a cannibal feast. Today, I'm a body donor, and, after dissection, my remains will be incinerated with those of other men and women for commingling in a common grave. How cool that Daniel Defoe inspired me to contribute to science, and be burned to ashes in a heap of body parts.
